CONTEXT: Airport arrivals are a high-intent moment, particularly for international travellers who need a reliable ride upon landing. Users who had previously searched for airport pick-ups in Australia before their flight but didn’t complete a booking represented a strong opportunity to convert pre-existing intent.

OBJECTIVE: Convert high-intent international users into Uber Reserve bookings for airport pick-ups, encouraging pre-booking behaviour for inbound travel.

APPROACH: Developed a targeted lifecycle campaign across email and push, offering 20% off Uber Reserve for airport pick-ups in Australia. Focused on users who had previously shown intent by sessioning on the platform prior to arrival, re-engaging them closer to their travel window. Messaging emphasised reliability and convenience, prompting users to secure their ride in advance and remove uncertainty upon landing.

IMPACT: Drove strong conversion of high-intent users into Reserve bookings, increasing adoption of pre-scheduled airport pick-ups while maintaining efficient promotional spend.

INSIGHT: Intent doesn’t disappear; it just needs to be reactivated at the right moment. Re-engaging users closer to when the need becomes immediate can significantly improve conversion, particularly for travel-related use cases.
